Flues & Chimneys

Flues & Chimney systems installed by HousewarmingA flue will be an essential part of your stove or fireplace installation. From a short piece of rigid connecting pipe used to fix a stove to an existing chimney stack to a bespoke twin wall system for those properties without a chimney.

CONNECTING PIPE - RIGID

This will provide the first part of most flues, made from single skin stainless steel or vitreous enamel low carbon steel. Although usually matt black a variety of gloss finishes are availabvle in a variety of lengths with or without access doors to aid sweeping, a job that must be carried out by a suitably qualified chimney sweep at least annually . We also carry a wide range of bends and tee's from 15 to 90 degrees again with or without access doors for those less straight forward installations. It is essential that you use the correct pipe for the application as heat and condensation can have a detremental effect on inferior products. The connecting pipe can be fixed directly into a solid fuel flue, connected directly to a flexible stainless steel liner or form the first part of a twin wall insulated system.

FLEXIBLE FLUE LINER -STEEL

Flue liners may be an essential requirement for a new fire or stove installation, or a safety addition for your existing fire, if problems have been encountered with waste gases (Carbon Monoxide) permeating into your home. We’re fully trained and qualified in the installation of flue liners and we have a strong belief in providing honest and accurate advice, so please don’t hesitate to call us or pop into our showrooms for further information. Unlike a number of our competitors we will not line a flue as a matter of course as this is both costly and in many cases can cause damage to a perfectly good chimney.

TWIN WALL INSULATED - HT PLUS

installing an appliance in a room without a chimney is made possible by using a rigid twin wall flue system. Twin wall can be put outside as a much cheaper and less labour intensive alternative to a brick built chimney. If the room in which the appliance is to be situated has no outside walls then the flue can run inside the property and flashed out through the roof. There are many regulations which have to be adhered to in order to ensure safe and effective installation. We offer a site visit where one of our engineers will asses the individual requirements of each application enabling us to design a suitable system that will allow you to get the very best performance out of your fire. This service is available in the following areas - Selby, Wetherby, Tadcaster, York, Pocklington, Market Weighton, Goole, Thorne, Hatfield, Doncaster, Pontefract, Castleford and Wakefield.
